Used with the GAIA isolators, the M8 Spacers allow the GAIA’s to be used with Sonus Faber Speakers that have a long front spike.
The M8 Spacer is used together with Long M8-1.25 threads for Sonus Faber speakers that have a long front spike for upward tilt angle. The M8 Spacer and Long M8-1.25 threads are used at the front of the speaker. The M8-1.25 Long threads are provided separately. The standard length M8-1.25 threads are used at the back of the speaker and are included with the GAIA’s.

The M8 Spacer and the Long M8-1.25 threads (provided separately) are installed with the GAIA’s on the front of Sonus Faber speakers that have a long front spike. The M8 Spacer will provide the same tilt angle as the factory long spikes that come with the speaker.
The M8-1.25 long threads should first be installed tightly into the top of the GAIA Housing. When used with the GAIA I, the bottom knurled lock nut must next be used to tighten down against the top of the GAIA housing. When the M8 spacer is used with the GAIA II or GAIA III, the M8 Spacer can tighten directly against the top of the GAIA housing, and the knurled lock nut is not required. The top hex lock nut can next be installed against the long M8-1.25 thread, above the M8 spacer, leaving a small gap between the lock nut and the M8 spacer. The GAIA’s are then installed into the threaded inserts in the front of the speakers with the IsoAcoustics logo aligned to face the front of the speaker. Finally, the top lock nut is tightened up against the bottom of the speaker using the included wrench, to lock the threads in place.
For installing the GAIA’s on the back of the speaker, use the standard length M8-1.25 threads that are included with the GAIA’s and follow the included instructions.
