OREA Series

Award-winning, high-fidelity audio component isolation feet.

OREA Series - Audio Component Isolation Feet

About Orea Series audio isolation feet

Experience the Orea Series audio component isolation feet, designed to eliminate parasitic vibrations and provide greater sound clarity and focus. Ideal for electronic components such as Amplifiers, DACs, CD Players, Speakers, and Turntables, the OREA isolation feet are made of machined stainless steel and feature a low-profile design to minimize any increase in height.

Each OREA model is designed with a different weight capacity. They each have a coloured ring on the bottom isolator that denotes the model and weight capacity. The OREA series are packaged individually to allow greater flexibility when determining the number of units to use. We recommend a minimum of 3 units under each component, depending on weight.

Greater sound clarity

The upper flange of the OREA’s are designed to provide a suction cup like effect and adhere to the underside of the component, while the lower flange adheres to the supporting surface. All the energy is managed within the core of the OREA’s, which are tuned to work within specific weight ranges. This results in greater sound clarity and a more open soundstage providing authentic, three-dimensional sound.

Works with or without feet

The existing feet on an audio component may connect well and fit nicely around the perimeter of the OREA isolator. Alternatively, you may get better performance by either removing the feet entirely or placing the OREA’s beside the existing feet to have them connect directly to the chassis or base of the component.

weight capacity

The OREA’s are designed to be used in multiples to match the weight of the component or speaker. The total weight capacity is calculated as follows:

Total Weight Capacity = [Weight cap. per isolator] x [Qty of isolation feet]

Quantity of isolatorsGraphite 4lbs (1.8kg) / unitBronze 8lbs (3.6kg) / unitIndigo 16lbs (7.2kg) / unitBordeaux 32lbs (14.5kg) / unit
312 lbs. (5.4 kg)24 lbs. (10.8 kg)48 lbs. (21.6 kg)96 lbs. (43.5 kg)
416lbs (7.2 kg)32lbs (14.4 kg)64lbs (28.8 kg)128lbs (58 kg)
520lbs (9 kg)40lbs (18 kg)80lbs (36 kg)160lbs (72.5 kg)
624lbs (10.8 kg)48lbs (21.6 kg)96lbs (43.2 kg)192lbs (87 kg)

It is common to use 3 or 4 OREA audio component isolation feet for each component or speaker, but keep in mind that it is most important to stay within the weight capacity of the OREA isolator.

The weight distribution of the component can also be taken into account. If for example the component is heaviest at the back, then it is common to use 3 isolation feet with 2 positioned at the back corners and 1 positioned front/center.

All audio equipment will benefit from isolation. The biggest gains can be achieved by isolating speakers and subwoofers. Isolating turntables, tube amplifiers, and CD players are good places to start because they are particularly sensitive to vibration. Isolating Preamp tubes is important as issues will be amplified later in the chain.

The ISO-PUCK was originally designed for the pro audio and Musical Instrument (MI) channel, and used with studio monitors, guitar/bass amps, DJ turntables, etc. The OREA, on the other hand, is designed for home audio. The performance curve for the OREA models are narrower in weight range and will provide a slightly stronger sonic benefit in its range than the ISO-PUCKs. The more effective isolation results in more sound clarity and focus.

The Aperta series is recommended if your speakers would benefit from tilt adjustment to better focus the tweeters to ear level. If your speakers are already at the correct height, then the OREA series is recommended as a low-profile isolation solution.

Yes, the OREA series can be used with speakers.

Whenever possible, we recommend positioning the OREA’s directly underneath the chassis or cabinet of the component or speaker. If the existing feet cannot be avoided, then the OREA’s can be positioned underneath the existing feet. The challenge with positioning the OREA’s underneath the existing feet is that often the weight is concentrated on the center of the OREA. It is best if the weight is applied evenly to the top of the OREA isolator.

The suction cup effect is not required for a strong connection. The OREA’s will have a suction cup connection to smoother surfaces. For textured surfaces, the OREA’s will have a strong friction grip.

We recommend choosing the OREA model based on the weight of the speaker or component that they will be supporting. It is common to use 3 or 4 OREA isolators for each component or speaker. The weight capacity per OREA isolator is as follows:

  • OREA Graphite – 4 pounds (1.8 KG) per isolator
  • OREA Bronze – 8 pounds (3.6 KG) per isolator
  • OREA Indigo – 16 pounds (7.2 KG) per isolator
  • OREA Bordeaux – 32 pounds (14.4 KG) per isolator

We recommend using the IsoAcoustics Online calculator for determining which model to use with your speaker or component.

The specified weight limits are determined based on the performance curves. The products can support additional weight without harm, but the isolation performance is beginning to decline above the specified weights.

Equipment can be sensitive to vibrations and forces. Removing parasitic vibrations releases new levels of sound clarity and openness when used with amplifiers, DAC’s, CD Players, turntables, and more.

When used with speakers, optimal results are achieved by positioning the OREA’s with the logo facing forward, in line with the speaker’s drivers. When using the OREA’s on turntables and other electronic components, the orientation of the IsoAcoustics logo will have no impact on the performance.
