When we conduct A/B demo’s at trades shows and other events, the differnce the ISO-L8R155 speaker stands make is so profound it can be easily heard, even in the most noisy enviornments. Most people are expecting some differences at the lowest frequencies and are surprised to hear more clarity and accuracy up into the higher ranges as everything sounds more open. This is all a function of our design keeping all the movement on-axis and cleaning up the muddy-ness.
We thought we’d try to run a series of test to see if we could record the differences. We swapped the speakers, moved them around and conistently got the same results. We used Logic 9, recording on 2 tracks with a pair of AT 4040’s and an SM58 for voice. No inserts or effects were used other than panning the tracks left and right.
We could hear the difference anywhere in the studio, during the test. Even the microphone in the video camera picked up the difference. This video illustrates how profound the differences can be, but people really need to hear it for themselves at a dealer… or better yet, in their own enviornment with equipment and source material they are familiar with. You WILL hear the difference.
