IsoAcoustics Introduces the New ISO-L8R200 Stands for Studio Monitors in the US
ISO-L8R200 speaker stands for mid-field studio monitors and subwoofers share the same cutting edge acoustic isolation architecture as the award-winning ISO-L8R155
Toronto, Ontario – October 17, 2012 – The new ISO-L8R200 speaker stands designed by IsoAcoustics for larger mid-field studio monitors and subwoofers are now available in the US, for weights of up to 60 lbs. The IsoAcoustics ISO-L8R200 stands are based on the same patented acoustic isolation architecture that secured an award for another model within the IsoAcoustics family, the ISO-L8R155. The latter won the 2012 ProSound Network Best of Show Award and is a 2012 nominee for the Par Excellence Award. Both stands will be exhibited at Booth 742, AES 133rd Convention Booth 742, October 27-29, 2012.
Each ISO-L8R200 stand measures 8”(W) x 10”(D) and can be configured to either 4” or 8” in height. Its cutting edge design offers several winning features including 14 different variations in height and tilt, with a tilt up or down to 6.5 degrees for any application. Acoustic isolation is derived from its unique “floating” architecture which improves sound quality while maintaining all movement on-axis to improve clarity. Consequently, subwoofers come alive with tighter bass punch and superior bass decoupling. The ISO-L8R200 stands can be used on desktops, meter bridges or floor mounted stands to optimize studio monitor placement and focus. They are ideal for professional, home studios and desktop applications.
Extensive independent testing has been carried out to tune the ISO-L8R200 stands to ensure that they share the isolation and sound clarity that is offered by the ISO-L8R155. “Our stands are not just an isolating material, they are isolating devices that are designed and tuned to respond in specific ways to provide a high level of decoupling and improve sound clarity,” explains IsoAcoustics founder Dave Morrison. “The result is tighter bass with more clarity and openness throughout the mid-range and high end.”
